RT-PCR COVID-19 Travel Test

Service Description

Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests are the most sensitive and accurate method for detecting COVID-19 infections.  A sample will be collected during your appointment at the Whistler COVID-19 Travel Test Centre, which will then be sent to a medical laboratory accredited by the British Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. The sample collection process generally takes15-30 minutes (depending upon the number of people being tested in your group), and will employ a nasal swab applied to the anterior portions of your nose. Results are generally available within 48-60 hours, and will be provided to you by Airwolf Medical when the referral laboratory has completed and reported their examination. Before selecting this test, please note that the nature and required specifications of COVID-19 tests (as mandated by various governments and regulating agencies) may change without prior notice. Please ensure the destination country (and any country where you have a layover) will accept this test for entry, and that the test date (when the sample is collected) complies with their timeframe for pre-departure screening. All customers (and others present) are required to follow COVID-19 safety protocols by wearing a mask and following social distancing guidelines. Please note that the analyzing laboratory is required to report all positive test results directly to the Provincial public health office, as mandated by current government regulations. Cancellation Policy

Please know that we book appointment times and arrange staff just for you and a late cancellation simply leaves a hole in our schedule that someone else could have used; hence our Cancellation Policy: we require 72 hours notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment - cancellations more than 72 hours before an appointment will be charged a $25 cancellation fee per test, and cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. Late arrival or no-show are considered to be cancellations and are non-refundable (of course, we understand that unexpected events can occur and will try to reschedule you for the same-day if possible, otherwise you may be required to book a new appointment).
